The hand-colored glass plate slide is from a collection of “Yokohama photographs,” sold to foreign tourists between about 1868 and 1912.
I’m enjoying seeing these vintage images of irises in the season when my own irises are in bloom.
Ours are finished in Stuttgart. Too much rain, I think.
