They’re as wonderful as floral decorations as they are to eat! I tried one in a vase earlier – they’re even heavier and harder to balance than sunflowers.
Some of them in the market had long stems, but you would need one of those really large (expensive) vases to hold them. Right now, mine is happy just resting right on a tray on the coffee table.
I love that it’s just sitting there, no vase, looking gorgeous. Like a more sculptural Tillandsia.
It’s perfect for me. I often fail at more fiddlely arrangements. Now, I’m interested to see how long it will last.

It looks quite good, considering it’s not in water. But the outer blue-purple bloom is turning brown, instead of drying. If it lasts ’til Friday, I’ll think it was a good 4 euro buy.
