I like this formal use of strawberry pots.
These 1921 images are hand-colored glass lantern slides by Frances Benjamin Johnston, via the Library of Congress Prints and Photographs Division.
The garden was attached to the Lathrop Colgate house in Bedford Village, New York. According to the Library of Congress website, it no longer exists.
The website names Edith Leonard Colgate as the probable garden designer.

I have two blue strawberry pots my mother gave me. I treasure them. Like this photo, I like to plant them with plants other than strawberries, although some years I will plant them with alpine strawberries (But then the squirrels eat the berries)
I have a little plot of alpine strawberries here that I grew from seeds. I end up eating the few I gotten so far right off the plant.
