Our first date was at the Union Terrace but I think Mark and I sat on the stone edge of the raised bed that circled one of the big trees if I remember correctly. It is still one of the great places to meet friends for a beer!
We end up there every time we visit our daughter — for one thing, it’s the pick up/drop off point for the bus to Chicago.
Water, some old trees, people to watch, moveable seating, food and drink (and these days, probably free wifi): the elements of a wonderful plaza.
